Purpose of Trauma-Informed Care

In Great Care™ uses a trauma-informed approach to support adults in our Transitional Housing and support programs. This approach is designed to promote safety, trust, empowerment, and emotional well-being. Our trauma-informed practices are educational and supportive in nature and are not a substitute for clinical or therapeutic treatment.

No Clinical or Therapeutic Services

While our staff is trained in trauma-informed principles, In Great Care™ does not provide clinical therapy, mental health counseling, psychiatric services, or medical treatment. Individuals requiring clinical support should seek assistance from licensed mental health professionals or medical providers.

Supportive, Not Diagnostic

Trauma-informed care is intended to create a supportive environment and does not include diagnosing, treating, or evaluating mental health conditions. Any observations or concerns identified by staff are referred to appropriate professionals when needed.

Limitations of Trauma-Informed Practices

Trauma-informed strategies are designed to enhance communication, reduce stress, and promote stability. These strategies may not be sufficient for individuals requiring intensive therapeutic intervention, crisis stabilization, or specialized clinical care.

Emergency and Crisis Situations

In Great Care™ is not an emergency or crisis response provider. If an individual is experiencing a mental health emergency, crisis, or immediate safety concern, they should contact local emergency services or a licensed crisis hotline.
